Iron deficiency anemia in children

One of the main roles of the iron is being a part of hemoglobin (the protein that is located inside red blood cells and carries oxygen to the tissues of the body). Iron deficiency occurs when iron stores deplete the blood due to loss of a lot of blood, or when the body cannot absorb iron from food, or when the food is poor in iron.
People who eat a common complements of vitamins and minerals that they get their needs from the iron. Iron-fortified foods, such as processed starchy grains, are good sources of iron, such as many types of legumes and vegetables. Add apple juice or orange or lemon juice to the iron-fortified starchy foods also help to increase the rate of absorption of iron. Young children may suffer iron absorption from their digestive organs, and may need supplements of iron. Breastfeeding gives babies a source of iron absorbed from the easier to iron in cow's milk or other industrial dairy
